Hi diggers and washers,

We collected the piece in Torrintgon as it had a few nice small smoky quartz clusters. It was sitting in our yard at home as a garden feature, while walking around the other day I had a closer look at it to find what appears to be Fluorite cubes growing on the side of small smoky quartz terminations. The are very very small cubes, this image was taken with a macro lens and then cropped to show the detail, The colours haven't been edited. I'm pretty sure it is Fluorite, can anyone with more experience confirm? Mark.

Hi everyone, Thanks for the reply's. I hit it with a UV light and they lit up like an xmas tree. It wasn't something I have ever been chasing for before and just pure luck I spotted them when it was in the garden. Next time I go back my eyes will be wide open, would love a bigger specimen of this :) Thanks once again.

I have one other interesting specimen that I think contains beryl which is common in the area, I will post an image up when I get a chance. Heading back out there for a week next month, hooked for life....Mark.
