HI guys,

Had a go on a highbanker today for the first time in Glendon. Ended up with a few tiny pieces gold weighing 0.03 grams all up. Keen to get out there again!!

That is a great setup and good job on the gold find, can't wait till I find some!!

High banker is a great little design and I am going to copy your stand it's excellent.

I also have that shovel from army disposals? Great shovel to use.

Ahhh, one of Bruce's Bankers there.
Well done, after this deluge there should be some nice gold a happening out there, cant wait till I get a bit of time off to chase a bit.
Cheers
Brad.....

O yeah boys,,, the creeks here are getting smashed. That is a awesome lil banker ;) .
Its good when ya get colour even .03....

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys. I'll tell you what, seeing that colour in the end no matter how small makes it all worth it :p

Bonacini: It's a great little set up. Also with the stand, it has a chain connected to both legs (can't see the chain in the photo). If you want to get into contact with the fella who made the highbanker, Bruce as aushunter mentioned, he can be found on gumtree searching for highbankers or sluices in Warwick. Can also check out some other photos for ideas. And the spade is from BCF

Lovely looking spot Simo. Looks a very wide river tho , be interesting to know whats available in the middle . How do u find a spot in such an open area ?

Gary o,
That is a large lake on the property that has the good stuff every where.

There must be some great concentrations in areas that are fed into the lake , id be looking at some satellite pics and finding the deeper area's and the inside bends and wher gold would be dumped during floods .. Looks awesome for fishing as well ;)

Hi GaryO, what aushunter said, I was is on a private property where you can pay to camp, prospect, fish, motorbike riding, etc... It is a really nice spot, I honestly felt like going for a swim at the end of the day.
How we worked the day was; we went up the creek (which was dry) where the water flows into the lake, get our samples from there and take them back down to the lake to process. Only did around 14 buckets at 15L all up.

Also, could anyone recommend a good book on recognising soil that contains gold? I have read that the 'The nugget shooters bible' could be good for that?

Cheers, Simo
