It's been a while since I last swung a detector, as we all know, life does seem to get in the way of this. So this afternoon went to a local park for an hour. I've pulled over a thousand coins out of this park over the years and it still doesn't let me down. Some change and decimal copper, a 1944 Penny, 1951 and 1939 Half pennies and a little jewellery item. The usual junk went into the bin but the strangest find today was a spend 303 cartridge. You just never know what you'll find. As I record all my finds, the tally keeps rising from this park.

Nice haul scoopa, this is the best time of year to soak up a bit of detecting sunshine.

I think I have recovered enough spent and unfired ammunition from Sydney parks and beaches to open my own small arm museum. Long gone are the days when there was a rifle on the parcel shelf of every motorwagon.
