Hello to all out there,
Whether its mid life crisis time or just the lure of the unknown, either way, I have decided that its about time I did something I've been meaning to do after moving to Australia 11 years ago:- get out into the great outdoors and try and find me some GOLD!.
Now all I need is a metal detector, a clue of where to go, and the time between work swings ( FIFO ) to actually go somewhere, apart from that I'm virtually there!
I have loads of time for research stuck in a FIFO camp 80 klms west of the Pilbara Coast, and plenty of enthusiasm for my new passion, I live on the glorious Sunshine Coast in Queensland and I'm sure there's a nugget in QLD with my name on it somewhere.
This site seems to be a wealth of information and I hope with time I can make a positive contribution.

Regards,
NB

Gday nb,... welcome to the forum,... you could fifo to a different spot each time and dig everywhere on your time off. :)

Thanks everybody!
I like the idea of a different location every fifo trip, certainly get my frequent flyer points up! . Yeah Heatho, I'm at Barrowdise, bet your mate has told you how fabulous it is. Its currently about 38 with 80% humidity and no breeze. Perfect.

Bloke who I used to work for is a crane driver over there.
He tells me he designed the tops of the pylons out in the bay.
RP.
Welcome to the forum. :) :)

G'day NB welcome to the forum ..... spent a few years building wharves at dampier and cape lambert in the early days as well as a short stint in panawonica ...... red dirt and spinafex .... would'a been nice to have a detector back in them days!
