I'm from VIC and brand new to the hobby. So far I've got less than 10 hours out with my Nox 800, but hoping to get many more.
Any of you guys got the Nox as your first detector?

Morning! I've just joined the forum and just bought an equinox 800. Must say I am very impressed with the coin finding performance straight out of the box but I think the gold mode might take a bit of time to master. Think it will be one that just gets better and better as we learn how to set it up for our specific needs.

gday and welcome mate . and i have to say isnt it funny how a phrase can bring on a memory , as soon as i read "evening all "it brought back the memory of a black and white tv show i used to watch back in the UK when i was a kid . that was the opening line in the show . " dixon of dock green ".

What sorts of areas are you detecting and what are you hoping to find. I'm no expert but had my nox out for 100 or so hours in every mode so might be able to help out a bit.
