In my search today found an English pound and a 1936 Australian penny.
No value but happy with the find.
Only $3.10 in spendables 2cent pieces and 1 cents as well;

yes I am getting plenty of spendables but a bit slow on predecimals have a few pennys one is queen vic a halfpenny a florin.
waiting for my first shilling sixpence and threepence.

I found my first predecimal threepence (1914) after 2.5 years of swinging and digging in the dirt (although I found it on the edge of a cutting at the beach)

It took me another 12 months until I found my second predecimal and then I was finding 3 or 4 a day for a short while

My point is you could find 10 today if they were in the ground where you swinging your machine,that is the plain truth,if they are not where you are will never find them.

Try to look at places that have some age to them,know your numbers and bingo

1983 so it is fairly recent.
