I love the old engines too. There will be a good selection of all types of vintage engine at Maitland this weekend. Steamfest is on. I usually spend a few hours admiring the old stationary engines. Fascinating talking to the guys who rescue and restore them.

Yeah Billy. Used to take the boys out there when they were young. I work in the rail industry and some of the guys at work build and run "live steamers'. Great pieces of machinery.

They are amazing RJ and at the risk of hijacking a thread I will just say that I feel privileged to have been shown this little gem!
P.S. Beers and service at the bowlo have been A1 on the few times I have been there too!
