Hey guys, I'm new to treasure hunting and really want to get into it, I know other people have posted similar things but I didn't want to hijack another thread. Basically I'm looking for people's opinions on the best DIY option under around $250-$300. I want something fairly versatile with good range and sensitivity because I plan on searching both on land and under around 8'-12' of seawater, mainly for coins and jewellery. Construction won't be a problem as I'm good with a soldering iron and I can put together an enclosure easy enough. I have seen things like surf pi, barracuda, hammer head etc but I can't seem to find much information to compare them, So, what do you think?

YouTube "Fredrickbarnes" he has made a waterproof and very sensitive detector for beach hunting. Casts his own coil aswell!
