I'm disgusted, the India v Pakistan cricket match will have an expected TV audience of 1.2 billion.

But it will not be televised on free to air anywhere in Australia, including Vast Satellite.

Star TV have the telecast rights via internet streaming - For a FEE

It isn't great is it. To be able to see the the best players of the sport is something we rarely get to see these days on live tv.

I'm lost as to why. The tri series was nice but that match yesterday was full blooded. I would imagine today's match to be equally contested if not more so. I'll really be howling if they show uae vs Ireland or something similar and omit today's game. Bloody economic reasoning/contracting will be the spoiler here no doubt.

Unofficial Cricket world cup live streams
There are some unofficial streams which promise free live streaming of cricket world cup 2015 (ad supported of course), which are probably illegal as well depending upon where youll be using them. This includes CricFree.tv, Crichd.in, crictime.to etc.

So, these sites are illegal (possibly).

Also, if you are technically inclined and can get around geo restrictions, all matches are free to air in India on TV (just checked though - their site has crashed due to demand I guess).

I got a reply on another forum, that said Foxtel had the rights and Ch 9 were not prepared to pay for any matches that did not include Australia.

So much for free to air???

Most of what's on TV nowadays is crap, I can't see the point in subscribing to pay TV for re-runs of shows I saw 20,30,40,50 and yes even 60 yrs ago, for a few cricket matches, maybe........

Yes, its on Foxtel 503. watched last night - because its the 'world' cup, the broadcast has to follow international scoring, e.g, what is usually 9/300, now is broadcast as 300/9. argggggg. years ago, we got rid of 8 ball overs to 'fit in', made our grounds smaller with the stupid rope rule and now this nonsense. But, back to the broadcast, used to be there could be no syphoning by pay tv, now seems to be reversed. i thought, Go, and Gem etc etc were going to be for non-rating games (UAE vs Afghanistan etc) FYI - there were more coppers than spectators at the UAE v. Afghanistan practice game last week in Melbourne. In summary - how can pakistan and India not be a great game???

I too was confused after the last Aus vs Eng match, the commentators said we will catch you next weekend, yet the next match was here in Adelaide on the following night?? The taxpayer paid millions for the Adelaide Oval redevelopment, yet we can't watch a match there unless we physically attend.

It's not sport anymore, just business. :/

It has been that way for a looooong time.....not even overseas test matches with Australia are on free to air all the time.
To have your national team competing in the national game anywhere in the world and not have free to air at home is disgusting.

We should feel lucky that CH9 have the Aussies games, next time...I bet it will not be the same

It was the same with the Asian cup in soccer. I watched every game australia played even tho it was shown 2hours behind. What a joke , we hosted the cup and the best any channel could come up with was delayed or didn't even get shown period.

Well even though we got the nz vs aus telecast it's not worth watching. The kiwis are killing it 8.(
