As some would know my uncle passed away leaving behind a fair bit of his fossicking stuff his sister (my mother) has just asked me to sell it as she doesn't know what to do with it.

Any I thought I'd post some on here and see if anyone could tell me a rough value on them as I have no idea

first up is the pro scan, also has a wooden carry box

HI Southy sorry for your loss as for the detectors the 2 garrets were good detectors I have owned both .The ADS Deep seeker has had many years of use by the look of it I would think some where around $150
The A2B Ground hog very good detector in it day I think around $175 TO $225 just check the battery holder and make sure there is no batteries in them
As for the Pro-scan I have only seen one other for sale I think they were made in WA If you google them you will find out more info on them the other one was on ebay a few years ago I cannot remember how much it sold for I would think $300 to $400 may be a fare price
the other thing is a battery charger I think hope this help regards john :)

thanks John, very much appreciate you help

You can always just post them on ebay and set a minimum amount that you would want from each detector. Pretty hard to tell what they would go for if untested, if working at all, will just have to mention that they are sold as is and with no guarantees on working condition. You will need to take plenty of pics of things like battery terminals, any evident corrosion or damage so that buyers get the full picture on what they are buying, and also to prevent negative feedback. :)

Just turned them on and took them out the back and tried them on some small pieces of Gold (buried them in one of the little glass bottles with the cork tops) found them no probs.............other than that I dunno how to have them tested?

battery terminals are like new so that's a relief (will get pics), besides the bit of wear you can see in the pics there's no corrosion

found a receipt for a service done on the deepseeker where he had the battery terminals reinforced by some place called miners den?

If they turn on and pick up metal, I'd leave it at that, no point in spending money on getting them tested.
