Detecting around Menindee and broken hill

Hi new here my name is Stewart, I'm moving up that way "Broken Hill and Menindee" where I'll be living soon.
Can anyone give me some ideas on where to detect for gold and dry pan for gold as well I have two young children that are very keen to learn everything.
My children have been through hell over the past two years and abused by their mother, she asked me for a divorce while I was in hospital I had a heart attack died and some how they saved me anyway enough of this can anyone help out with maps or some where around the area to give it a go.
All suggestions will be appreciated by me and the children.
