well, i umm sold that gold ring and had enough money to upgrade to a ctx3030. yeah..

went for 3 hours tonight. $44.75 pops me into the $1000 club. yay.

finding lots more cent money than I used to.

All in all not too bad for a first hit with a new machine. I'm sure I'll get better, was going way slow to start with.

very different to interpret the signals.

There a Great detector,
mine has paid for it self already,
I like to use head phones on the ctx, I think its it is a lot better,
and yes the one and two center s are a solid sound, you know ya waving over
one.
Where I live is lime stone area and I do use all the settings but
I most run in coin mode and just switch between patterns and check the signal I find this
pre set mode great.
Certainly some pings are a surprise when you dig them up for they sound
different in the ground, There a heavy detector but I am all good with that and I am 60,
but after 3 or four hours it is time to sit down for me, Like I said yesterday about the amount
of detectors that have run over the ground where I found that coin, but the ctx shines thru.
I am back there today but it will be slim pickens.

What audio setting are you using Brian? I've got mine running in "combined", was using 4 tone conductive, I don't like the 50 tone conductive, makes it sound like R2D2.......
