creswick creeks

merry xmas all..
i got family doen from interstate and they want to go out prospecting while we all are staying in ballarat for a few days..

im thinking of taking them to creswick to spend a day with the pans and maybe the high banker if theres water.

a few questions i have never panned creswick before..
is there still water.
and which river is better slaty creek, cotty creek or sawpit???
north end or south end? (closer up to crswick or closer to white swan)

To be honest, there's water near all year out creswick, u just gota know where the dams are.
If ur just doing some panning u will find a few puddles to pan in. highbankings guna be doubtful, and no flow for a sluice. We're guna get a storm tonight but won't replenish much.
Slatys guna be your best bet, cottys and sawpit mays well be dry. Any of the camp grounds a puddle should be around.

try just north of the town near the pine plantation bit of junk but you'll find something yellow too
