I grabbed half a bucket from creek beside a main road on the way home from work yesterday - stoked, I got 20 colours. Hadn't tried it before but will now give it the thorough crack. It's such a 'high' finding a new spot to fossick and with decent colour.

No worries mate, I thought it deserved it's own topic :)

It's great to see some colour in the pan, I guess you'll be heading back pretty soon?

Just so so cool to grab some random dirt and find colour. I'm now checking any waterway around here to cross off those that are not carrying. This fly poo has some angle/depth to it so maybe worth a walk upstream.

Good on you paydirt, plenty of gold in them there hills hope you find some nice bedrock on your travels

Cheers

A mate brought round a small bag of creek wash he got from his worksite this avo after I told him about my roadside luck, panned it out an got 4 tiny specks ( too small for photo) needless to say he was ecstatic.
