Pulled some memories out of the ground last night. I remember the deep satisfaction and smiling face that a freshly loaded cap gun created as a child. Movies of John Wayne and buried outlaw treasure on a hot summer's afternoon.

Don't even think my kids even know what a cap gun looks like, too un-politically correct to shoot your brother or parents these days, let alone strangers in the park 8.(

That does bring back memories,
I tried explaining to my youngest ones what a spud gun was once.....they thought I was pulling their leg.

That's all I ever asked for at Christmas time. I would be out in the scrub for hours mucking around shooting any imaginary Indian or outlaw the showed his face. Had a great time as a kid with all that stuff. :) That is a gun I remember as well.

That is in amazing nick. another lone star brand. they were cheap and most kids had them in the 60's. good hunt there.

Cool pickup, looks like it will clean up very nicely, that would be a hoot to find.

Running around the garden with my toy guns as a kid was great fun, though certainly a thing of the past now.

Still got my spud gun, was surprised to see toy stores still selling them. :)

I remember them. Wish you could still get them but banned like everything else we got enjoyment from.

Curse those damned fun police ;) ...Although... Im probably an example of, one of the reasons so many of these things are banned

I'd like to say the charismatic heroic ladies man  but on occasion the bumbling Pancho does come out after a few bourbons. :8

Man, I use to love that show, I haven't seen it on the TV for at least 30 years.

Wally I found the back half of a cap gun a while ago I'll see ii I can find it as there could be some parts your missing.

Nope I'm not much good for parts I thought there was a bit more than that'

Good thought but wouldn't work in any case as the Lone Ranger was on a different TV channel, so the parts would be incompatible.

Big bucks are being paid for original condition versions of these era cap guns, you might have to go back and dig up the rest.
