Computer illiterate old me...

Hello fellow prospectors, just introducing myself, I'm Alex AKA (graybeard77). Just joined a few days ago was not sure how to introduce myself, hope I did it right this time. I didn't know that I had to go into the introductory part and then "open a topic" to get going. So here goes.....

I haven't been prospecting long, I went halves in the cost of a second hand GPX5000 Minelab with my son Adam. You wouldn't believe the amount of bullets, horseshoes, alum can pull tops and the dozens of hand forged nails that are out there, till we finally found our first nugget about the size of a grain of wheat.

I live at Linton, not far from from the Linton goldfields. It's only a 10 minutes drive from my place and I try to get out and do a bit of prospecting before I get too old to do anything else. I don't mind showing others my favourite spots, I believe in the joys of sharing, besides I need someone who can be the pick man.
