Coin? Medal? Any Value?

I'm new to metal detecting and found this in a park the other day. It could just be off a piece of play equipment but I dont wan't to try and wash it/ clean it if it could potentially be valuable. I cannot work out whether there was any text or design on it. Thanks for advice in advance =)

I wouldn't hold your breath for details to appear but for a non evasive clean try soaking it in olive oil and a gentle scrub with a toothbrush.

Looks old an interesting enough to see if details emerge
