hi diggers anyone know weather these coils good for minelab sd2100v2 ? and which size is best?

Coiltek 14" Round Goldstalker Mono

Nugget Finder 14" Elliptical Mono Metal Detector Coil

Nugget Finder 12" Round Mono

Nugget Finder 17" Elliptical Mono

Nugget Finder 18" Round Mono

any info on these would be appreciated

Mate I don't think any of those coils will be any good on an SD, it was built to run with DD coils.

The Detech Ultimate Spiral 15" DD coil would probably work nicely.

One of my mates uses the coiltek 14" DD Pro Elite coil with great results.

I run an 8 inch mono on an sd2000 occasionally, you'll find yourself running in a single channel or ground balancing every few feet in a lot of areas. It has some advantages in terms of sensitivity, but it's an absolute dog of a thing most of the time . In general run with a DD on the older machines unless you need to run a mono for some reason or you'll just drive drive yourself nuts.

Is that one the same as the Camo version ? That's cheap, I can't get MJ's, NF coils or Coiltek over here, the Minelab dealers use to sell them about 5 years back but they are no longer around, I had some of my best results with Coiltek, Great Products,

No mate, the camo ones are mono coils, this one is a DD coil.

Reeko has found some good gold with his, that's why I rate them as a great coil for the SD minelab series.

Thanks mate, I just bought another 3500 a couple of weeks back and It only has 15 hours on the clock and I just found out it is one of the Very First Prototypes of the 3500 which is real Cooool, I think and it is just about showroom condition,

I still have a 2100 and it came from MINELAB with a 3 coil pack -
11" DD
8" MONO
18" - fibreglass green MONO.

So minelab built them to be used with monos. Sure its noisy and you have to manually ground balance - but gee, I've pulled my far share of ounces with the monos on my 21.

2200D was the DD machine, 2100 could handle monos in half my local areas, actually would handle monos better in some areas where a GP extreme would struggle.

Out of the coils you listed my picks woukd be the 12" round and 17" elliptical. The original Coiltek 14" mono was awesome on the 2100.
