Sent the missus into town last week to cash in all our goldies and most of our silver change.
Ended up with enough to pay for a whale watching tour in Hervey Bay and dinner at a dodgy Chinese place at the marina for fathers day.
Was the best fathers day according to the kids, Whales everywhere, nice big dry boat and an excellent crew. The boat usually takes 60 people but we lucked out and there was only 27 people on board. My 10 yo daughter got to drive drive the boat for ten minutes or so on the way home (supervised of course) made her day and probably the whole week.
The fully licensed bar was no more expensive than the pub so that was a bonus, I was expecting $10 beers!
So nice to give back to my family some of the time I spend looking at the ground.
