Canberra - Water Pump Servicing

Hey guys,

I have a water pump i'm looking at getting serviced.

Can anyone recommend anyone around canberra?

There is an issue that when the pump isn't 100% level it shuts off... It's a real Pain in the butt when you are out in the bush.

im not trying to be a smart a$$ but you have checked the oil level i am guessing, as my pump has a low level shut off and if it is on too much of a lean will shut off to protect the engine

Hey dropbear,

The shut off is a safety device fitted so that when its on an angle it shuts it down. You should be able to bypass the switch so that it does not bother you anymore. But if you have any mechanical knowledge whatsoever my advice would be to service it yourself.

Drain oil,
refill oil,
clean air filter,
perhaps clean/check spark plug

and your done! No use blowing your hard earned on an easy job

I do, just never on a pump...

Give me a car and a motorbike and i'm set

I will have a play and replace the oil, filter and check sparkplug. Hopefully she will be running like new soon.

As a safety shut off device I would not bypass the device.

I have a lot to do with the use and rental of small motors and one of our basic rules for operation is to only operate them in a level position. Have seen too many damaged due to low oil level and people tilting the machine to "override" the shutdown function.
