Hi all, I've had this coin for many years and have always wondered what it is and if its worth anything, any ideas?
Its quite heavy for its size.

Thanks slipped disc, I will try google. The colour in the photo's not quite right, wish it was gold, but its only silver.

Cheers

It is a commemorative crown for QEII Silver Jubilee. They gave one to every school kid from memory. So there were a lot around. No real value but appears to be going up a little. The Australian ones were Copper Nickel from memory, not Silver which would have made a lot more sense for a Silver Jubilee ?

:D Just goes to show what using the right search terms will find on Google. Its a Silver Crown Jubilee, any ways its a bit of show and tell.
I found it when I was new to metal detecting back in the late 80s, the coin was in grass at a sporting oval.

:) Thanks Westaus, looks like we posted at the same time.

On the nose time wise.

Grass sports oval. Sounds like some kid didn't get his/her Coin back home, it has been there a while I say. Would have made a mess of lawnmower blades or one mean projectile.
