Brisbane parking regulations

Can anyone tell me what the legal parking distance from a residential driveway entrance is. I thought it was approx 1 mtr.

I read all the parking info on the site--zero info on distances. I don't have a learners book so I asked on the GENERAL "Crevice Sucker" for a little help.
Read all the titles in general and learn--sucker!!!

Bogans next door with the illegal pub park across my driveway, if i want to get my car out and ask nicely for them to move get told to F*** off.

As for an Illegal Pub, Liquor and Licensing Police will sort that one out for you...

Just reverse into them, then make a claim on your or better still their Insurance and let them argue with the Insurance Co...

My Neighbour parked right opposite My Driveway and I reversed into him... I ended up going to the Cops and they deemed him at fault and a fine was issued as I couldn't get in or out of my driveway without a 5 point turn... I even got the Council to put a little Yellow line in 'his parking spot' so it would never happen again... :lol: :lol:

The Cops told me that in QLD it is 1m , but different Councils have different rules, so make numerous complaints to your Council or Local Member of Council including Photos Jaros... It helped Me in my case...

I had a bloke park approx 1/2 way across my driveway. Called the Bris C.C. and being on a saturday they said they had to recall a parking officer.
When he turned up 1 hr later he started to argue the point as to whether the offender should be fined. I kept up the pressure and after 15 mins he finally wrote a parking ticket -reluctantly-and drove off into the sunset. I was blocked in for about 5 hrs.

Get your car reinforced so as you back or drive out you can clear your driveway as you drive off.... someone will then call council to deal with a blocked lane and they will call their favored towing company to tow the offending vehicle away. Short of doing that you could buy a cheap second hand forklift or baby dozer to keep on hand.... the resultant newsfeed response could work wonders for years...." We had a council worker come by doing something and he said 1 mtr. is the distance from edge of driveway not the 30cm we have ATM.
