There has been a lot of discussion lately regarding 'Nundle Guy' (I am not going to identify by name as it has become apparent that it is likely that there is more than one individual that gets called 'Nundle Guy')

Today I travelled to Nundle with the sole purpose to speak with property owner who has been specifically targeted in recent forum postings.

I spoke to the property owner for around an hour and now have a much greater understanding of events that have lead up to a reduction in access for fossickers along the river. This includes the actions of fossickers at the Peach and Plum Tree TSR and additional actions which involved trespass, injury to animals and theft of property. Additionally I have been given some great 'local knowledge' type information about fossicking the area.

As a result of the interaction today my stance is to avoid the western side of the river, including the bed and bank of the river. There is a designated fossicking area at Swamp Creek. There are maps available at the visitor information centre as to where you can go and what you can do.

That is all that I am going to say on the matter.

Any chance to elaborate on the wrongdoings of fossickers there? So we can keep an eye out and make light of what happens when you don't respect the area you are in.

Hi Ben. Thanks for the info.
Like Joe, I would like more info.
Your reasons to respect his point of view and stay away from the western side of the river.
May help us all to react in the appropriate way.

Cheers

Rod
