I'm now living at Ballarat and I'd be interested in getting some suggestions from members for books that cover the discovery and mining of gold in this district and similarly books on the golden triangle area. Thanks in advance.

Believe Ballarat has an excellent library and I'm sure that based on Ballarat's gold mining history they would have that side of things well covered ..... check them out, ask the librarian, get some reward for the taxes and rates you pay.

Your welcome just don't lose focus with your finding

Found a couple of better specs yesterday? Still small but one was detected in the middle of an ants nest, that keeps you focused, scraping, sorting and avoiding being bitten in the process. Books are more to just soak up a bit of the history mate, rather than research. I'll leave the serious detecting to you blokes, i'm just loving the chase, no matter how small the specs. It some ways it might be my twisted sense of a challenge, but i'm enjoying being able to ping very small pieces. Mind you i wouldn't mind finding a nugget i could brag about to you blokes about!
