Black Glassy Specimen

Hey guys,while exploring a old disused underground working in new zealand i found a 650gram specimen enveloped by white quartz,this specimen is jet black,of crystallish texture but has visible nuggets of gold and platinum inside it,it is very hard to chip or crack,does anyone know what this could be
