Hi. We recently spent some time around the goldfields near Georgtown QLD. We have had a 5000 for about a year and decided that 2 detectors on the ground would be better than one so we purchased an SDC2300. I love it! My largest nugget to date is a 10.9g down about 10". I have no doubt whatsoever, that if there is a large nugget under the coil it will pick it up. To what depth I'm not sure but I did dig some junk that was really quite deep.
