Decided to make a light and portable sluice, used heavy poly truck tarp 2m x 0.8m,mossy door mat, front door mat 20 cm deep triangle, square car mat 5 cm deep squares, 2 strips of light ally and some pop rivets. Stitched a pouch onto the tarp 80 cm from the bottom, outlet facing down, you tuck the mat into it so the water can't get under the top and lift it up. pop rivet the moss mat to the bottom edge of the tarp with ally plates top and bottom. you could have a couple of pouches instead of attaching the moss mat. ut 2 holes at top of tarp to peg to creek. Use rocks on the sides to form a channel for water to flow down, start shovelling.

Happy sluicing, Cheers All.

Bit of innovation, be interesting to see the results. Got and concentrate to test it with, be good to try it out at home with some known cons that contain gold just to make sure your not losing any when out in the scrub.
Cheers T.

Have tried it in our creek to check gravel flow, works well and processes very quick, creek has some very small flour gold and the moss mat picked it up.You have a large area to see the water working the gravel and stir it along, pick out large rocks etc. Need a bucket to wash the moss mat into, so having it removable from the tarp would be easier to clean.

That's looks interesting. I have seen something similar that some one had set up on the bank, but was using a bilge pump. Let us know how well it works.
