Another one of my finds from the yard. Its not cleaned up properly yet. I am pretty sure its copper but seems too light weight to be a belt buckle unless its a kids. Thought it may have been some sort of electrical clamp but then you wouldnt think it would have the pattern.i wll have a crack at uploading the pics and get some feedback if anyone can help.

Nice find, it almost looks like some weird bottle top opener. Hopefully someone can identify it for you.

I think that it is a small childs or ladies belt buckle possibly from a shoe.

What does the writing on the back say?

The plot thickens. After a bit more delicate cleaning it says nikel silver on one side and then on the hasp it says multi-grip underneath that it says marathon, pat pending then a number

By the looks of it, it is a clamp off a pair of suspenders.

Nice find its a 1920-1930's Art Deco giant belt buckle similar to this one.

If it's silver it could be worth around $100 if not it's still worth about $30 to a collector.

Give it a clean in an ultrasonic cleaner you can pick em up at Aldi when they get them in or Jaycar has them.

Alternatively take it to a jeweller to get cleaned and appraised.
