Hi all. It's been a while since my last post. Some times life gets in the way of metal detecting. Anyway, I decided to brush the dust off the E-trac and hit one of my favorite parks on Sunday afternoon. Had a great time with some nice coins found. I even had an assistant as I was joined by one of the local kids who just couldn't believe there were coins in the ground! You should have seen his face when I gave him 4 penny's and he worked out one was 102 years old. Priceless! 32 coins for 2 hours in the park, topped of with a .925 silver and pearl ring. Happy days. The coins were all Australian dated from 1912 to modern with a 1943 shilling and 1948 sixpence thrown in. When anyone tells you an area is worked out, don't believe them. I've been working this park for about three years now and I've recorded just under 700 coins found and it still keeps giving. Happy detecting.

Good to see your back into it mate :)
Love the ring, any chance of a close up on the pear and setting? Keep them finds coming!

Some great coins there, a good mix of old and new, and amazing considering how hard the area has been hit in the past. Have you always used the etrac there, or have you previously used other detectors? :)

HI Goldpick. Started off in the early days with an xterra 70, but most of this park has been search with the Etrac. I know there are alot of people singing the praises on the Minelab 3030, but personally the Etrac has never let me down!
