Hi everyone I've just joined ,after a workmate told me about all the like mined people in this forum. Im 46yrs with wife and 3 girls and live at North Rothbury in the Hunter Valley NSW. My thing is collecting Australian rocks minerals and own a good collection of Tas pieces and some good pieces from Broken Hill , I also own a Minelab x terra 705,its new to me after I just sold my old Garrett ground hog. I love going up Barrington way for a poke around, I would like to get into gold detecting and if anyone is willing to show me the way as I only would like to get specimens not rich, LOL. There is a group for gathering at Tuena on the Anzac weekend. There will be plenty of experienced people to help out the newbies.

Tuena is south of Bathurst. About 5 1/2 hours for us Hunter Valley folk.
