any suggestions?

gday, i have from the 3rd of january to the 23rd free to do what ever i want, i have a 4wd ready for rough roads, some buckets a pan and a shovel. and most importantly time..
id like to spend as much of it as possible bumbling around looking for gold and/or stones gems rocks. my nsw experience is limited and doing qld and the territory later so interested in any ideas or places to camp for a day or 2 at a time and do a bit of a tour around nsw or nortern victoria looking for treasure. ill be starting my adventure from the sydney area. any ideas or tips would be muchly appreciated.

Option 1 - Head out to Sofala, Upper Turon, Hill End, Bridle Track, then down to Oberon, Tuena, Grabben Gubben, then through the snowy mountain region out to the coast. Take some sapphire sieves with you.

Option 2 - turn left or right out of your driveway, nothing else matters beyond that point.
