Similar to the one I posted before but narrower and lighter.
Good for cutting grass plugs for coin hunters.
Good for alluvial work to get into, scraper and scoop crevices etc.

Not expensive - $5.99 at Bunnings

regards, Ned

i bought that one a couple months ago from bunnings, unfortunately the pronged tip got badly bent my fist time out using it. Mind you canberra soil is pretty tough (full of clay), but i epxected it to last longer than 30 mins lol :)

I cut the prongs off and tapered the point on a grinder. Much better now and doesn't get hung up on a tough plant root.

Hi Ned. Saw your post and went straight up to my local Bunnings and bought one. Yes still $5.99. Excellent tool. The small modifications will be done very soon.

Funny thing happened at the checkout, the lady commented that is one mean looking tool and I explained what it was going to be used for. She mentioned that she has lost at least 5 pieces of jewellery in her garden (mainly because she does not wear gardening gloves).

Sooooooo........ I offered my services to come over and search for her missing rings/jewellery etc. Now I am on a mission 8)

Hope I don't ruin her garden :8

Hope the X-Terra 705 is up to the job :)

Hope I understand what I am getting into

Will keep you posted on how I go.

Cheers Monty
