Am I crazy?

Hey people my name is Noel I've had a dream of metal detecting for years and after separating from my wife I lashed out and made some big purchases and now I got the gear and no idea were to start.
I have been out with my detector 4 times and have found 3 tent pegs and 1 giant peg, so I'm hopping that I might advance to a bigger find. (Maybe the tent pole) lol.
Anyway saw this site while trying to research an area and here I am

Welcome Noel. It would help if we knew what detector you are using, your target, IE. Gold or coins and relics. Also a rough location.

Welcome Sarma, there are guys going out all the time and I am sure we can help.
Great hobby and as a group supportive.
There are also many clubs you may want to join to provide additional support.
You may not find a lot for a while until you get to know your detector.
At least you found something and three less tent pegs you may not need to buy!

But I can assure you it is still great to get out and enjoy.

Thanks guys I have just moved near karuah and I have a minelab sdc 2300 am hoping to get to a miners den day to learn more but am open to other events or meet ups if anyone knows of any
