Hi,

I need some for my river sluice. Not sure from the picture if it is the 45 degree sloping mesh or the vertical. I think for the river sluice I need the 45 degree.

I'm in Sydney.

Kind regards
Phantom

its sloping but i think its a bit overkill for a river sluice ?

for a highbanker yes its great in the right configuration but it needs alot of water flow

if building a river sluice with low to moderate water i would use expanded mesh around 4 - 8 mm high

the stuff in the pic is 18 mm high

Hey headsup, i'm chasing some of that mesh (300mm x 200mm with the bars in the same direction as the pic in your OP), I live near coffs harbour though, is it pickup only or do you post?
cheers

Just bumping this as a few guys were asking

I use many different configurations of catch media depending on location , if you are going to use mesh I put this over blue or black miners moss , and deep vee rubber mat on the bottom.

The above will catch all medium to coarse gold down to coarse gold 0.5 mm and above and will hold "a lot of" talcum sized gold.

If you get a lot of fine talcum powder 100 - 400 mesh gold then use a secondary classification zone to seperate those fines and run them on their own through a sluice with finer catch media , different slope and different water flow than your main coarse sluice media.

If you get larger gold flakes 0.5 - 2 mm that are hammered very thin and flat they are the most difficult to catch as they have low mass but big area for water to pull them out of your media , they can be caught in reverse helix or secondary fine media as above , but they take more fine tuning and additional swear words.

I didn't try Goldigga's dream mat yet with the very thin flat flakes mentioned above but it's on my list to do.

Mesh comes to $47 plus GST

Aus post parcel calculator says $20.90

Delivery up to 1 metre long is fine with Aus post or I have a few couriers for bigger sizes.
