Absolute Newbie to this

Just introducing myself. Living in Lithgow NSW I've always wanted to get into fossicking and metal detecting as a hobby.
We have recently retired so I am getting a detector for Xmas and getting out there.
I've joined this site to learn as much as I can beforehand as I know absolutely nothing so I'll just be browsing and reading for now.
