Hi All,

Finally... the weather has turned for us up north. Taking advantage of the cooler temperatures, we headed off to the Pilbara goldfields for a week.
Beautiful cool nights, balmy warm days and a couple of nice nuggets to open the 2014 account with.
All in all 87 grams from 14 bits.
The smallest was a 0.1 grammar, found with a 17" mono loop coil at around 150 mm" deep, up to the Treasurers 66 grammer found with a 14" mono loop coil at 400 mm. Don't believe the myth that big coils won't find small gold...

Life is good.

See you out there.

Great way to start the season and by the looks of it a bigger jar may be on the shopping list soon.

Good luck with the rest of the trips and hope the gold continues to cooperate.

Cheers Wal.

Cheers guys, we have named the 66, "Yogi Bear" as it looks like him running away with a sack full of goodies hehe...

@pilbarachad,

G'day mate, I live up here and wander around where ever I can... (time and 20A permits) being the main constraints.

And yeah, they don't come along like that very often, 99% of my finds are in the sub gram category as well.....just like everyone else !
