Hey all have only just started but have been reading alot of material and hit the goldfields about twice in my life now so far this is all ive found but moved about 180kg of material all screened down to 1/2" can anyone tell me anything about this type of gold its an ancient dried up many thousands of years ago type of deposit with some small horizontal quartz layers in the walls of the bedrock dunno much about gold thought someone could educate me a little it is mostly coarse and really flat flakes

If it's coarse flat flakes then it hasn't moved far.

I would be checking around the quartz layers looking for any specs in them. It's likely that it's come from somewhere close. Check in any cracks in any bedrock you find.
 
Talgai gold is usually coarse and shotty as there are quiet a few reefs thoughout the area.
