Not my favourite machine to use ergonomic ally-wise, but can't argue with quick results like this!

Only 5 bits of trash (bottle tops) with that lot!

I went back the next afternoon and in 1 hour, dug about 20 bottle tops, a few 5c and 1c and 2c... And a 1954 Florin at 8 inches which I gave to an interested onlooker :8

3 of the $1 coins and 3 of the $2 coins were found in this small patch within the first 10 minutes of turning the machine on:

I would have given the bottle caps and other coinage to the onlooker and kept the florin, did you get a pic of it? ;)

Sure did...just trying to resize it now...

I gave the onlooker the florin as the young guy (10 or 11 years old) was rapt to see such an old coin. Actually, he was equally as amazed to see the 1c coin which I have to him as well! He'd never seen one!

Oh no, a Commemorative Royal Visit florin, would have definitely held onto that - certainly don't see too many of those around these days. 8)

Dont you worry about that NB... Your spirit invites good karma ;)
Im sure your generosity will be richly rewarded
Cant wait to see what a great treasure that will be :D

I'm sure you will get rewarded with a sovereign next trip, you just never know. ;)

Nuggetbuster, it might pay to start a single thread for the sole purpose of sharing all your future CTX finds, vs separate threads on every find. That way the info will be easier view and access for yourself and other members, and you can update as new finds come to hand. Single posts tend to work their way down the list, and eventually disappear into the murky depths of the forum. Cheers & thx for sharing your finds. :)

Thanks for the comments guys...if that sovereign never turns up, who do I come see? :p

Good idea ... I'll keep future finds posts in this thread!

That was an awsome thing you did
Giving that special florin to that young
Fella, it may start him in a hobby to
Last a lifetime :D
An award for kindness posted
