Started up with the 2300 is 180 targets (shotgun pellets) to one little piece of yellow on heaps sound the right average?
Depends where you're working Leroy, i would say that if you're finding that much shot then the area hasn't been detected much lately or that there are still hunters around shooting. Of course just because you're finding lots of shot on workings which would indicate others haven't been detecting, doesn't mean there is a lot of gold to be found in that area.
It does mean that you're doing ok with the sdc though in being able to detect smallish pieces.
Sometimes you've just got to sift through the chaff to find the gold so to speak
Try finding some workings or surfaced areas without lots of shot and seeing how you do. Good luck.

Sorry I'm a bit late in answering on the 180 targets. Two days but I'm a bit of a begginer with the sdc and I am just learning to get the hang of the machine.

If your finding the shot then you will find the gold ........................... you just need to get some under the coil and it's yours ;)

Yeah thanks Bogger I agree I can assure you I'm trying but 1 out of 180 and two full days gets you down a bit, but it's all good fun and you never know what will turn up
Regards Leroy.
