Well it's been a while since I went after some coins. So I went off to a park that I came across before Christmas. Nice big old trees, big wood chip play ground. Very nice. Plus I had the advantage of seeing where everyone sat at a couple of functions.
First couple of targets were 5c & then I snagged a nice little bracelet. I also ended up with a 1949 half penny & a 1959 penny in pre decis. $6.75 in an hr wasn't a bad result & quenched the need for coins :)

Great little haul there Brad....and good to see your getting out for some well earned stress relief. Hope the little fellow is feeling a bit better. Cheers Wal.

Young bloke is back to normal, bouncing off the walls & talking flat out ]:D
The park is huge. I reckon I did 1% today. I got the penny in the playground too. That's a first for me finding one in a playground.

Heading out for another coin hunt in the morning. This time I'll be taking the Nokta Velox 1. I'm kind of excited to see what I pull out :)

Nice clear tones. think it would be good to see some variation in depth to see exactly what it can do.
liked it & looking forward to results.

I went back to the park that I went to last Monday. I was interested to see what the AT Pro left behind for the Velox 1. I don't know whether I was happy that the AT Pro hadn't missed much or that the Velox was exceeding the depth of the AT Pro. But either way I got coins. Although there weren't many left behind, I was fairly impressed with the depth. Deepest coin was 10c at 40cm.

It's been a while since I spent some time on here. But I have been having some fun. This is the results of 3 days detecting. Day one was in Bendigo at an 1880's school. Day 2 was a bit of beach detecting. Day 3 was the big one. Spent 5.5 hours swinging in Echuca. Lots of goodies found.

Excellent, I've got an old school to go over, spent 10 minutes there and found a base plate of an old pressure iron, those tin ring thingys that held the rubber on the pencils, the lever action out of a toy winchester and heaps of milk bottle tops. That was only on one corner, can't wait to see what other junk I turn up. :) Mick

I was lucky enough to be shown the location of a miners camp in Bendigo. I'd been researching & doing a bit of recon on this camp & was only a gully away from being on it.
This is what I found in my location with the G2
