Havnt been to this place before. Mostly wandered around randomly to see where the heavy concentration of coins is.
Got $53.90 and a few little odd things.
Will be heading back to concentrate my efforts to a small area where most of the coin showed up.
This park is really trashy and it is very difficulty to pick the coins out of the rubbish.
Still only dug 3 ringpulls and 4 bottle caps.

The coins keep flowing, I wish people would drop more coins in SA, they seem particularly stingy or not vary careless! :)

I have a theory that the tropical grass or sandy ground makes the coins disappear the moment they drop whereas in SA they bounce off the sun-parched leaves or dirt, catch your eye and return to the pocket.

Or.....Shane is the only one in Darwin with a detector

Or...Shane has a higher heat tolerance than the next guy who is still sucking beers under the air conditioner

Or.....a lot of late night horizontal wrestling occurs in parks up that way

What do you put the volume down to Shane, seems everywhere you go has been untouched or has a huge replenishment rate?

Must be a lack of detectorists in Darwin I'd say, I even spotted a couple of guys detecting at the Womadelaide site yesterday, whilst the fencing was still up, must have had some sort of deal going on there , or they were coucil workers getting first bite of the action (one was a x-terra with a WOT coil).

Good effort!
Given the condition of the coins from fairly clean to quite dirty I'd say you are perhaps the first to hit the park. Well done. Could be some rings there then too.

Its a very public place. Lots of people all day but quiet at night. I go late at night. Look under trees around seats and shops etc.
Its the same recipe as the other spot,
1 lots of people
2 Shops nearby
3 Lots of grassy area where everyone can sit and relax...and drop their money. ;)

I covered a lot of area quickly to see where the most money was sitting and once I found it I concentrated my efforts there.
Its very trashy but that's where the 705 is brilliant showing gold coins up with solid, repeatable signals. I will definitely be going back one night soon.

I will need to get me a 705 one day  keep it up mate, keeps me thinking I can beat my record by at least 10 fold. :D
