1943 Penny

A 1943 penny.
I know very common and very little value, I noticed a dot underneath the A at the end of Australia. Is this common or maybe a fault?

Not very experienced at this but i just googled 1943 australian penny and cant see any dots them.

Now that is an odd ball penny. A mint mark (raised dot) after the last A of AUSTRALIA denotes Perth Mint.

Yours seems to have some gravity in play , definitely worth holding onto while you get an expert opinion. Maybe there are some numismatists in the forum who could offer a clue. You could also try http://www.coincommunity.com
