⭐ Post Your Vintage Toy Finds -Found With A Detector.

I've decided to add a sticky for any toy finds, found in due course whilst detecting. Be it a toy pistol, Lesney, Dinky or Matchbox vehicles, or other non descript childhood items. Whether the topic remains as a sticky depends on how popular it is, so please feel free to contribute.

Doesn't matter if the item is not completely intact or partly complete, die-cast items generally do not fare well over the years. The find must have been made with a metal detector, not plucked from your child's sandpit.

I haven't found much recently, so to get the ball rolling I'll start off with a Texan Junior pistol found at a circa 1940-50's site a while back, unusually fully intact.

Found this miniature kangaroo at Nannine, WA 1891-1940, the first town in the Murchison area.
Was originally copper coated, however Frank, The Digger (member on here) kindly gold plated it for me.

I really like finding toys. Here are a few of mine. The 2 guns are the same model but found separately in time and place. The first car is a 1950s Devon and the 2nd one is made of lead. The handcuffs are tiny.

The only toy I have found was out on the goldfields. A little lead soldier about 40mm high that fell apart in my hands a i removed the dirt. He is now wrapped up so he doesnt fall apart any further.
