I am planning to go to Laverton this year (down Wilga) near Carey lake. I wonder if this is not feasible as the flood etc? The date should be around early june( or late May) to late August

I note that a Google search mentions that Warakurna is in the goldfields region and I'm wondering if there is anywhere in this district where you can detect? A quick search of PA shows up nothing?

After watching a fair few videos with youtubers panning for gold I want to try and give it a crack. Anyone know if we can do it close to Perth or is the land here all a no go until you hit UCL land? Wouldn't mind giving some dry panning a shot as well.

Just been doing some research of old gold mines and where it has been found and a location close to Perth popped up that was pretty interesting. The diggings in Jimperding showed that it was proven to produce gold and that small nuggets where found there.
