    Nuggets are formed by earthquakes!

Don't know if I am correct or not but I was thinking that as the hydrothermal fluid is pushed up through the cracks and fissures, it will begin precipitating out quartz on to the faces of the fissures due to contact cooling. As this happens the ratio of gold to quartz in the remaining fluid is...

    Gold Price Discussion

Yeah, but you invest in gold as a "hard times" nest egg. It's not about making money. When the **** hits the fan and money is used to paper the walls, gold can be exchanged for things to keep you alive. Food, shelter, services or ammo. Gold, unlike shares and cash, is ALWAYS valuable.

Smoke! Yeah that will do it. I should have checked the CFA site.

Do you think that perhaps it is "seeded" from ploughing, which creates big amounts of dust?

I'm watching BOM, I'm in Victoria, and there is a rain event just east of Ararat. It is growing out from some point and I don't know that I've seen anything like it before. Maybe I have but it does look strange.

    Gilbro woodworking machines

Yeah Grubstake, there is a Gilbro Engineering but it's a different address. It could be the same company, and I will contact them, but I thought I'd try PA first to see if someone had an old brochure or story or something first. Thanks for the reply.

It was made in Preston, Melbourne in, I guess, the 1950's. I was wondering if anybody had any information on Gilbro Engineering. I've...

You're not wrong Mackka. The manuals that some companies put out are nonsense. The first 30 pages are safety warnings! They have to assume everyone is a Wally so that they don't get sued. Too many d*ckheads and too many bloody solicitors!

Is it just that I'm an old fart, or is it getting harder to find stuff on the net? I was searching yesterday for imperial bearings for a planer I'm restoring and it seemed more difficult to find bearings than it normally does. And then again today I was looking for small tins of paint. You know...
