First day trip out of lockdown! Where to NSW?

Finally next Monday, 1st of June we are allowed out of Canberra and into the greater NSW for a little outing! I'm floundering here! Several times I've done Adelong, Tumut, Grabben Gullen, Oallen Ford, Numeralla, Braidwood... all comfortable trips to leave early morning, crevice all day, find...

Thanks mate, but I got them all. I was helped by aviators all across the world, to identify and procure the instruments used in the show. You can read the epic story here. https://www.buildsbybaz.com/viper-mk-ii-cockpit-reference-pictures/ Thank you for the offer mate. Very kind. Baz.

OWCOW! :D Now that the Viper is happily protected in it's new hangar, it's time to clean up, realign the modules, get the wheel carts out from under it and give it all a good once over. There's quite a bit of warping from being left in the weather. The tarpaulins only did so much and it's very...

VIPER IS IN IT'S HANGAR!!! Thanks to my mates Alex , David, Garry, Joe and Patrick, for the muscle! Now is to the opportunity to remove the rotting plywood from the landing gear and replace it with steel cladding, while also installing axles at the base of each foot for built in wheels. Can't...

That's the idea mate. My whole reason for sharing what I do and trying to show others that anyone can do it if they put their mind to it. Like I said, I have no formal qualifications or trade training. I just have a go. Baz.

Thanks mate. And of course, the Observatory, which would break the internet if I posted the build pics, so here's the build video instead. A bit more entertaining.

A little three foot Viper made with the same CAD files I had done up for the 1:1 build. Used whatever scrap wood and putty I could find, along with cable ties, coathangar wire and other scraps.

The Iron Man suit, made of steel. Took me three years, plus a few years of developing in paper, cardboard and fibreglass before moving on to steel. I take it into kids hospitals from time to time and raise money for Starlight Foundation for sick children and other kids charities.

Cheers guys and thanks. I'll post up as work progresses on projects. I will be continuing on with the Viper very soon, so that will likely dominate for a while, with the occasional small project to break it up a bit. That isolation project you refer to, is a scratchbuilt, freestyle mech that I...

Would it be OK to put a thread here in general chat, covering some of the, "different" projects I get up to? I don't want to monopolise the, "Today I made" thread. There's too much other great stuff going on there. My main aim is to encourage and inspire others to have a go and stretch their...
