I recently went to queensland for 8 weeks and left a 5 cent piece in salt and vinegar solution. When I returned, the 5 cent had been cleaned OK , but had reduced in size. It was so thin that you could bend it easily with your fingers.

What does the program Wet Beach refer to?? Does it mean that you are detecting in water over sand or does it refer to detecting over sand that has had say, the tide fallen away leaving the sand Wet.

All of my coins have very neat cuts so i dont think they would have been <mowered> The $2 is cut in half and the 2c,s all have different size sections cut out of them. None of them have any other damage on them

Over a period of time, I have found 4 2c ,s and a $2 coin that have had pieces cut off them. Up to 1/2. All are straight cuts. Anyone out there have any idea why they were cut???
