GPX6000 - Tips, Tricks, Settings, Accessories & Other Notable Findings

The Minelab 17” does a pretty good job. Reasonably light too. I’m not sure if lighter than the 14” DD but it sure feels better balanced.

    Today I BOUGHT

All my Shimano reels are in perfect order with some maintenance once every few years, and that is even with 3 years of salt work. Abu, Jarvis, Diawa and many others - all the same care but none have gone the distance. I’ve got a Shimano Calais from about 2002 and it is still perfect even...

    Coiltek Goldhawk 10x5 Review

Dry for a month? Where is this fabled land you speak of? It feels like 3 days is the longest no-rain stretch we've had in Northeast Vic since July. There may be gold in them thar hills but at the moment the hills are leaking!!

    Alternatives to a cat ?

Generally not 🤣 It all started when I said we are not having another cat or dog after our current cat and dog die (but I said that last time too and was ignored 🤨). I said “what about a crow?”. I am not a ‘cage’ person and think birds were designed to fly so let them fly. A crow could come...

    Alternatives to a cat ?

Very true. I assumed they would be smaller and lighter in colour, like a baby magpie. Grubstake’s explanation makes sense as to why they are rarely seen (or noticed that it is actually a young crow).

    Alternatives to a cat ?

Anyone ever seen a baby crow? 🤔 Seen baby (or at least very young) magpies, but never a crow. That’s a good alternative to a cat. Can take it travelling, bit of personality, can say a swear word 😉

Me too, and I scrape my coils. I even bought a spare so that I was all ready to swap it over, but it hasn’t been required yet 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Today I BOUGHT

Bought one today for an 18th birthday. Purchased from Jaycar in Geelong and having to get my sister to collect it. None left to be brought online and delivered from either RTM or Jaycar and none in-store anywhere near me. Great price. Bloody awesome birthday gift that they definitely would...

    Gold for sale.

Hi mods, If you could please close this thread as I have sold some of the above and providing one of the pieces for a comp. I'll re-assess what is left and place it up again at some stage in a new thread. Cheers, N.E.

    Today I MADE

Really nice job PP, well done 👍🏻 Just wondering what you’re powering it with? What have you got on the internals, chain? Maybe it is just the photo but it appears to be on an angle. Is that deliberate to allow easier emptying? Cheers, NE.

Looking at buying a Hybrid SUV petrol battery,

Re: the Foresters. I drive them at my ‘other’ workplace and have done for about 6 years. I would barely have one if it was given to me. Utter tinny, plastic, rattly, drive poorly, sticky accelerator, crap steering pieces of ‘you know what’!! By that’s just my opinion 🤣

Looking at buying a Hybrid SUV petrol battery,

We drive Corolla and Camry Hybrid's at work and do a fair few K's. These are not plug-in at all. Electric motor with a petrol motor that kicks in and out when needed. And downhill and on braking the wheels somehow provide a charge back to the battery. I live in a 'hills and valleys' type...

    Coin/Token ID help please

Morning all. A mate of a mate found this. In great nick, quite heavy at 50 grams. Tried to scratch it on a gold testing kit but wouldn’t scratch so assume it is not gold. Can’t find anything on Google. Anybody have some particular knowledge in the counter terrorism space?
