GPX 6000 NF (Nugget Finder) 12x7 coils

Spent 5 days in Clermont with both the 12x7 and 14 x9. Ran both coils on sensitivity 2. Both good coils found 33 bits in total all small, found most with the gold hawk and got plenty where the 2300’s had been over. I prefer the 14x9 super sensitive and quiet whereas the 12x7 does give off...

Using 2 6000’s in close proximity

Heading away soon and hiring another 6000 for wifey along with mine, so my question is how close can we detect together. Can we aim them towards each other and noise cancel? Or is it more suitable to stay a long distance apart? Thanks for any advice!

GPX 6000 NF (Nugget Finder) 12x7 coils

I’ve had a few sessions with mine it’s a good shape . Definately a bit quieter than the stock coil overall but it does seem to give a few false signals when i scrape it or bump bits of grass, rocks etc. I just received the 14 x 9 and will be taking both to Clermont in a month so hopefully find...

    Carbean Rd, Karara

Last time I was there it said the same thing. The access to the gpa is ten metres past the cattle grid I just drove straight through no dramas at all openened the gate and went in. Plenty of times lately Carbean rd has been blocked at the highway and a detour is in place. Just keep heading down...

Boots for Prospecting, Hiking, Detecting information and questions

We get standard issue Oliver metal free for work. They are my favourite but I only got 4 months wear and the zipper snapped in half so couldn’t use it anymore. My other workmate had the same happen, broken plastic zipper so that’s 2 pairs I know of both around 4 month mark. We wear them 10 hrs a...

I buy Oliver AT’s metal free lace ups. High ankle support and lightweight, comfy and strong. I use them for work and for detecting it was only through work I found out they are metal free, even though there’s a label On the boots stating so! Cheers

A tiny Warwick piece yesday arv. Ground was wet and dug plenty of ground noise targets with the 6. It’s so temperamental in soggy ground I’ve a lot to learn!

    Snake sightings, encounters and reminders.

Heres my last 2 chooks on the left and our Guinea pig on the right! We get scrub pythons and carpets non stop eating everything, the biggest I’ve relocated was 3.1 m. Also saw my first taipan not long ago I was mowing the fence line and it was around 2 m away. I sat there with the mower on full...

    Snake gators / gaiters

Hi guys just after any recommendations for metal free snake gators, about to buy a pair and happy to pay for quality. Any that are better than others that members can vouch for. A lot of the places I visit are in thick grass/scrub and with the recent death in the Lockyer valley it sort of sinks...

    Atmospheric EMI interference

You guys are probably already onto it but the app My Lightning tracker is free. Shows real time position and klms to nearest strike. We use it for work and you can zoom way out to 1000’s of klms. Just click on the closest dot(strike) to get distance and time. Cheers.
