Missing Prospectors & other Persons (WA) Western Australia

Let's all pray that this story has a good outcome for Billy and his family and friends. I have all the recommended safety equipment when I go detecting, but that doesn't mean I can't get in trouble out bush. But for the grace of God, there go I.

What are YOU doing right NOW

Right now I'm enjoying a crownie after spending our second last day at Evans Head packing up, I had my last day of fishing yesterday and I didn't catch anything worth bringing home, mind you, I've had some great fishing since I've been here, but after nearly 4 months away it's time to go home.

    WA tenements

I know what you mean, I've struck people detecting some of the live leases I've been on and they have the nerve to park right next to where I'm working and get their gear out and away they go, it's bloody rude and I would imagine that because of the way some people operate, they probably don't...

    WA tenements

It's not only the Gold Police you may encounter, WA Mines Dept. inspectors are out and about as well, I was queried a couple of years ago while detecting on a live lease for which I had permission to detect, he checked my miners rite and asked if I was detecting legally, I had the paperwork and...

    Food Labelling Overhaul

In the same article that I quoted from Mackka, it said Australia has one of the highest levels of obesity and diabetes in the world and it is directly coralated with the amount of prossesed and fast food that we are eating. Why the F can't the Government make these companies tell people what...

    Food Labelling Overhaul

It's been reported that food manufacturers are going to be made to have health star ratings for everything they sell under a Federal Government overhaul. I often have a box of Milo Bars in my boat for a quick snack when I'm fishing and the health star rating on them is 4 stars, now I'm no expert...

Short Notice Trip Vic to Perth Esperance and Home

One of my mates lost his blue healer dog to a bait last year, And he lives on the Station where his dog ate the bait. There is no way known that I would take a dog in to a baited area and I would strongly advise anyone against trying it.

    Minelab's next gold machine

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post but I think everyone will find it interesting. GPZ7000 upgrades

I tried the 19 inch Minelab coil on the Z but found it too heavy for me, I was able to swing it all day with the 12 inch, mind you, I found it hard going on my trip west this year and sold the Z and bought a 6 which I found much easier for my 70 year old frame to handle.

    GPZ7000 upgrades

Hi Matt, my Z came with a 12 inch ZSearch coil and an SPO Booster and good quality earphones when I bought it, I found plenty of tiny pieces at depth as well as some nice bigger pieces and the machine ran quiet, they would be my recommendations. Cheers and good luck, Dave
